Modern measurement tools are evolving, and Sylvac is leading the way with smart connectivity. If you are using Sylvac digital calipers or other Bluetooth-enabled instruments, you can now connect them directly to your smartphone or tablet—making your measurement tasks easier, faster, and more accurate.

Sylvac instruments feature integrated Bluetooth technology that allows seamless wireless communication with mobile devices. This means you can display, save, and export measurement data straight from your Sylvac tool to your phone—without any cables or manual data entry.

 

Quick Guide - Using the Sylvac Anywhere App

Connecting your Sylvac instrument is quick and simple. Just follow these steps:

1. Install the Sylvac Anywhere App

Download and install Sylvac Anywhere from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store

Minimal requirements:

Android : Android 8.0, iOS 10

iOs : IPhone 5S or greater for iOS

Maximum instrument per device : 3-15, depending on device

 

2. Enable Bluetooth on Your Phone

Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone’s settings.

3. Getting Started with the Application

On first launch, the app will ask for location and file access permissions. Please allow these permissions for proper functionality.

 

4. Home Screen – Connected Devices

The home screen shows a summary of your connected instruments. When you first open the app, no instruments will be connected. To connect a new instrument: Tap the “+” button to start scanning for nearby Sylvac instruments.

 

5. Activate Bluetooth on Your Sylvac Instrument

On most Sylvac tools, go to the Bluetooth® menu and activate the wireless connection.

6. Instrument Discovery

Once scanning begins, nearby instruments will appear in a list. Before connecting, make sure to reset your instrument.

Each listed instrument will display:

  • Bluetooth Signal Strength – The closer you are to the instrument, the stronger the signal.
  • Instrument Image – A visual reference of the tool.
  • Model & IoT Ready Status – IoT Ready instruments have advanced features and are indicated with an icon.
  • Live Value or MAC Address – If IoT Ready: the current measurement value is shown. If not: the last 4 digits of the instrument's MAC address will be displayed.
  • Tap to Connect – Tap on an instrument to begin the connection process.

 

7. Saving Measurements

When saving mode is activated on a connected instrument: Every time you press the measure button in the app, or the data send button on the instrument, the value will be stored locally on your device.

 

8. Measurement Page

You can view, export, or delete saved measurements from the Measurement Page. To access it:

  • Return to the Home Screen.
  • Tap the menu icon, then select “Measurements”.
