DeFelsko Positector DPMA measures the dew point temperature or dewpoint of a workpiece with the addition of wind speed sensory upgrades. This device records the temperature at which dew forms and is a measure of atmospheric moisture with the addition of an anemometer where the temperature to which air must be cooled at constant pressure and water content to reach saturation. This integrated measurement and record of climatic conditions include relative humidity, air temperature, surface temperature, dew point temperature, and the difference between surface and dew point temperatures. Ideal for surface preparation as required by ISO 8502-4, BS 7079-B4, ASTM D3276, IMO PSPC, SSPC-PA7, and US Navy NSI 009-32.
On-site, workpieces of steel structure and alloy material were exposed to climate and natural circumstances which alter the metallurgic properties and performance. As such natural cause make the workpiece performs differently, DeFelsko Positector DPM is the solution for any engineer and operator to pinpoint suitable temperature, timing, and parameter for treatment of electro-coating, painting, remaining life assessment, or other application.
Your investment in DeFelsko's PosiTector SPG will allow your operator to robustly test the Dewpoint and metallurgical behavior of workpieces whether in a workshop or any manufacturing yard. DeFelsko Positector DPM is the solution for quality control or maintenance and research. With compatibility and interchangeable dongles and probes with other DeFelsko nondestructive tester unit, the DeFelsko Positector DPM allows a versatile application that in turn give you the best value for money and practicality in working. For interconnectivity and robust application with smartphones, DeFelsko also innovated the PosiTector SmartLink series with WIFI technology, smartphone software, and handheld design.
DeFelsko Positector DPM features:
Large, easy-to-read, graphics LCD with enhanced one-handed menu navigation
No need to consult complex tables or use a slide rule calculator
Audio and visual alarm – indicates when climate conditions are unsuitable for painting
All readings are constantly updated and displayed simultaneously with every stored measurement being date and time stamped
RESET feature instantly restores factory settings
The posiTector body accepts all PosiTector probes such as 6000. Thus, easily converting from a coating thickness gage to a dew point meter, surface profile gage, or wall thickness gage.
Includes the ambient temperature, surface temperature, and humidity sensors from PosiTector DPM Integral Probe plus a hot wire anemometer
Anemometer mode measures air temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed
Auto-rotating display for inverted use
Wind Speed Range: 0-20 m/s, 0-44 mph, 0-65 ft/s, 0-3900 ft/m, 0-72 km/h, 0-38 knots
Wind Speed Accuracy: ± 3% Full Scale
Field calibratable with Celsius/Fahrenheit switchability which conforms to ISO 8502-4, BS 7079-B4, ASTM D3276, IMO PSPC, SSPC-PA7, and US Navy NSI 009-32.
Hi Contrast backlit display for bright or dark environments
Flip display enables right-side-up viewing
Uses alkaline or rechargeable batteries (built-in charger)

Notes:
A higher dew point indicates more moisture in the air; a dew point greater than 20 °C (68 °F) is considered uncomfortable and greater than 22 °C (72 °F) is considered to be extremely humid. Frost point is the dew point when temperatures are below freezing.
