PrepareUse cleaning putty to remove dust, debris, or residual blast media from the surface by pressing it firmly with your fingers, then lifting it away. 2. BurnishSelect the appropriate grade of replica tape, peel it off the release paper, and apply it to the blasted surface. Firmly rub the replica film using the burnishing tool in a circular and x-y motion to create a detailed surface impression. Then, remove the tape. 3. MeasureInsert the burnished replica tape between the micrometer anvils. Make sure the replica film is centered between the anvils with the adhesive side facing down. Take your reading.

How It Works:
1. Prepare
Use cleaning putty to remove dust, debris, or residual blast media from the surface by pressing it firmly with your fingers, then lifting it away.
2. Burnish
Select the appropriate grade of replica tape, peel it off the release paper, and apply it to the blasted surface. Firmly rub the replica film using the burnishing tool in a circular and x-y motion to create a detailed surface impression. Then, remove the tape.
3. Measure
Insert the burnished replica tape between the micrometer anvils. Make sure the replica film is centered between the anvils with the adhesive side facing down. Take your reading.
