Sometimes light can be a damaging factor in producing an effective and high quality image especially against a reflective or metallic surface. Certain Dino-Lite models include a polarizer feature which can be switched on/off or can be adjusted to offer full or half polarization, providing the versatility required for use in the Dermatology – Skin or Scalp check, for diagnosis, cosmetic, follow up, hair loss treatment, etc. As well as biomedical, printing/graphic arts, surface analysis and a variety of other fields. AXIAL ILLUMINATION LIGHT: Casting light through the lens, the built-in and software controllable AXI is designed to provide axial or brightfield illumination, making it ideal for observing reflective surface under high magnification. Dino-Lite axial lighting models AM7515MT2A, AM7515MT4A and AM7515MT8A are 5MP Edge Series microscope cameras that feature built-in axial lighting in the same compact form factor of other Dino-Lite models. Through the flexible LED control users are able to switch between bright field or dark field modes revealing more details than any standard light source. FLC - FLEXIBLE LED CONTROL: Flexible LED Control provides lighting adjustment options including intensity settings from 1-6, as well as the ability to turn on or off LED's by quadrant. FLC is available on 5MP Edge Series models with the included software for Windows and Mac OS. EDOF - EXTENDED DEPTH OF FIELD: Focus stacking made easy with Dino-Lite EDOF models. The EDOF capture mode can take several pictures at different levels of focus and stack them into a clear image automatically with 1 click of the mouse. The resulted EDOF image maintains the picture quality from its original pictures which can be reviewed in DinoCapture 2.0. EDR - EXTENDED DYNAMIC RANGE: Observing high contrast or reflective surface, the EDR can help to reveal the details of dark or bright areas by stacking images taken at different exposure levels. Ideal for object with large variation in brightness, the EDR largely increases the dynamic range by stacking pictures taken at different exposure with one click. AMR - AUTOMATIC MAGNIFICATION READING: Enabling the software to read the magnification from the device automatically, the AMR unburdens the measurement tasks and improves the accuracy of measurement. AMR displays the current magnification on screen with the included software for Windows or Mac OS. AMR is only available on specific Edge Series AMR models. MICRO TOUCH: Many Dino-Lite microscope camera models have the MicroTouch feature which is a touch sensitive area that you can use to capture images instead of using a keyboard and mouse. This sensor can also be set to start/stop recording video, read a barcode, or to switch LEDs. The software also allows users to disable the MicroTouch, or set to single or double touch to trigger. INTERCHANGEABLE CAPS: The Edge series models have an interchangeable cap feature a similar type as the "AD" series. Different caps have been developed for better adaptability for more applications.
